  8. *  PCBMM can now be set to detect and use 43 the line screen mode with EGA
  9.    and VGA video.  This mode displays 48 menu choices per screen,  instead
  10.    of the 21 choices available in standard mode.  In this mode, there  are
  11.    96  total menu options available, instead of the 105 options  available
  12.    in the standard video mode.

  14.    To use this option the appropriate setting must be turned ON using  the
  15.    MMSETUP.EXE "Edit PCBMM MAIN set-up parameters".

  18. *  You may set each menu selection in PCBMM to switch to 43 line mode (or
  19.    leave it on if already set) before running the individual application.
  20.    This  option (definable separately with each application) may be  used
  21.    when the application automatically detects and uses 43 line  displays.
  22.    Buerg's  excellent  LIST program operates this way, as  does  Norton's
  23.    DBVIEW.  In 43 line mode the amount of information  displayed  on  the
  24.    screen is almost doubled by these applications.

  26.    You  are not required to set PCBMM to run in 43 line mode to use  this
  27.    parameter.  If PCBMM itself is in regular mode, it will switch  before
  28.    running  this menu option,  then switch back to standard  mode  before
  29.    displaying the PCBMM menu again.

  31.    To use this option the appropriate setting must be turned ON using the
  32.    ALT-F1 set-up keys with any PCBMM selections where you want this mode.

  35. *  PCBMM  can now be set to detect if a mouse driver is installed and  use
  36.    it if found.  PCBMM menu options may then be selected with the mouse or
  37.    the  cursor keys.  The mouse is especially useful if the PCBMM menu  is
  38.    displayed in 43 line mode, and if there are many PCBMM selections. When
  39.    a mouse is used, three extra red boxes will appear on the PCBMM  screen
  40.    that  may  be clicked on.  These are "PgDn", "Exit", and "PgUp".  PCBMM
  41.    requires Microsoft mouse compatibility.  If the mouse capabilities  are
  42.    enabled, PCBMM will check for the presence of the mouse driver, not the
  43.    mouse hardware.

  45.    To use this option the appropriate setting must be turned ON using  the
  46.    MMSETUP.EXE "Edit PCBMM MAIN set-up parameters".

  48. *  Any  password  input in PCBMM (if defined by the Sysop) will  now  echo
  49.    asterisks (*) on the screen as the password is typed in.

  51. * Update:  PCBMM 1.2 and earlier versions work with both  PCBoard v.15.0 (in
  52.   beta test as of this writing) and PCBoard 14.5/14.5a. You are NOT required
  53.   to upgrade to PCBMM 1.2 for use with PCboard 15.0.

  55. * Update:  PCBFV 1.2  and earlier versions work with MS-DOS v.6.0  (recently
  56.   released as of this writing). You are NOT required to upgrade to PCBFV 1.2
  57.   for use with MS-DOS 6.0.

  64. *  A problem was corrected where PCBMM would not always find PCBMM.DAT  in
  65.    certain PCBoard configurations.  This was resulting in an error message
  66.    which said "Error 64".
